Attendees at the seminar included Prof. Yun-Ching Fu, Director and Head of the Department of Pediatric Cardiovascular Surgery at Taichung General Hospital; Prof. Dr. Pham Nhu Hiep, Director of Hue Central Hospital, along with members of the hospital's leadership team; and a large number of experts, physicians, and medical staff from both hospitals.
The program focuses on various in-depth, highly practical topics, such as: cardiovascular interventions for congenital and structural heart disease; the application of the Da Vinci robotic system in pediatric cardiovascular surgery and colorectal cancer treatment; pediatric cardiac surgery; intraoperative radiotherapy (IORT) for early-stage breast cancer; systemic therapy for pancreatic cancer; robotic hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgery; laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancer; robotic-assisted surgery for spinal deformities; and the UBE technique for treating herniated discs and lumbar spinal stenosis.
Through scientific presentations and professional exchanges, medical teams from both hospitals have the opportunity to update themselves on advanced treatment methods, share clinical experiences, and foster collaboration in training, research, and technical transfer. In doing so, Hue Central Hospital reaffirms its role as a leading center for specialized medicine in the country while strengthening connections with the regional and international medical communities.
