The Department of Renal and Urological Surgery was established on February 27, 2001, following the separation from the Department of Thoracic and Urological Surgery.

With a young and enthusiastic team, the department actively manages patient care and conducts daily consultations to ensure timely surgeries and rapid patient discharge. Additionally, staff members are supported in pursuing professional training both domestically and internationally (in South Korea, the United States, and Thailand).

The department has achieved numerous notable distinctions, including a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister in 2012, a Third-Class Labor Order in 2023, and the title of "Excellent Labor Collective" for multiple consecutive years.
